Question 1

What does a supplier catalog check look at?

Accepted Answer

Each part can have a saved supplier catalog URL. A check reads the listed stock status, price, and lead time when the page makes them available, then compares those values with the previous observation. If a value is not listed or cannot be read, Stockweft cannot report it.

Question 2

How does Stockweft flag a potential shortage?

Accepted Answer

A flag uses your saved on-hand quantity and reorder point together with supplier stock or lead-time observations from a saved catalog check. For example, stock at or below the reorder point, an out-of-stock listing, or a concerning lead-time signal can raise a potential-shortage flag. It is a prompt for review, not a guarantee that a part will run out.

Question 3

What is included in a reorder draft?

Accepted Answer

A person can create a draft for a flagged part. It gathers the part, its configured reorder quantity, the saved supplier, and context from the latest completed catalog observation, such as an observed price or lead time and the signal behind the flag. A person reviews the draft and chooses to approve or reject it. Approval records that decision; it does not place or send an order.

Question 4

Does Stockweft monitor supplier email or inbox changes?

Accepted Answer

No. Supplier email and inbox changes are not monitored. The supported supplier check uses the catalog URL saved with a part; Stockweft does not read or react to supplier messages.
